EV Nova: Override Port --------- These replacement data files provide the original, classic Escape Velocity Override scenario and interface for the Escape Velocity Nova engine. Installation --------- To install, just rename your original "Nova Files" folder to "Nova Files Original", then rename the supplied "Nova Files Override" folder to "Nova Files" and move it to the EV Nova folder . You will then need to remove any installed Nova Plug-ins, as these will not be designed for the original scenario and may conflict. Note that this is different to the standard plug-in installation. Uninstalling --------- To uninstall, just rename your original "Nova Files" folder to "Nova Files Override", then rename the "Nova Files Original" folder to "Nova Files". FAQ --------- Q: Why can I not buy XYZ? Q: Where are the Polaris/Aurorans/etc...? Q: How come I cannot do this, that or the other? A: This is a port of the -original- EV: Override scenario, it is not linked to the scenario in Nova at all - similar to a 'Total Conversion' plug. It also means that some game features are not accessible or in use by default -- but plug designers could make use of new feature (eg. ionization). Q: Do I need to register Escape Velocity Override if want to keep playing? A: No - this is a free conversion for registered EV: Nova users. You paid for Nova - we are a nice bunch and are happy for you to have this one on us! Q: How do I contact Ambrosia Software, Inc? A: Please refer to the documentation with Escape Velocity Nova for the most up to date information. Or visit our website: http://www.ambrosiasw.com Q: Who did this port? A: See below. :) Ported to the Nova engine by... --------- The port used "Port Authority" a tool from w00tWare to assist in bringing EV/O files to the Nova engine. The port was done by Michael Judkins who used information learned and elements borrowed from the EV port to create it. Tim Taylor helped locate bugs and modified the main screen for the EVO port. Enjoy!
